Its been a very wet August and trying with the amount of rain we have all seen. The days are starting to be slightly lighter for longer each night. If the rain would let up we could really believe we are starting towards the beginning of spring, and then roll on the competition season.
The new season's schedule is out and now is a great time to be setting some goals and starting to work towards them. I'm looking forward to putting the winter practice into play. It will be great to see you all out and about enjoying your horses in the sunshine.
We are scheduling another visit from Grand Prix Dessage Paralypian Jayne Craike. Please let me know if your interested - email jo.hansen@datacom.co.nz for further information.
Starting the beginning of September I will start the breakin of Max's daughter Maggie.
Clipping is in full swing with a number of horses clipped to stop sweating when being worked over winter. Its by far a healther option for your horse than putting it out with a wet coat in the freezing cold.
Winter training is a great time to be able to step up a level and consolodate for the coming season. We are still teaching regularly over winter and provide schooling services for horses to give you the jump start. Email rauapapa@xtra.co.nz for more information.
Work is continuing on the shed with the new tack room going up and undercover lights for those winter nights.

With a number of young horses on the ground, we are now selling Nakita. She is a 16.3hh
11 yr old WB X broodmare. She has been broken previously but not ridden since.
Nakita is a stunning moving mare and passes her friendly, calm unflappable nature onto all her
foals. Nakita foals with no help required and is suitable for someone who wants to breed
quality foals with no stress. Given her easy nature she is ideal for someone venturing into
breeding for the first time or someone wanting a super competitive dressage horse with a brain.
Happy in a grou or alone. Foals available for viewing. My vet thinks I'm crazy to sell her however
we have too many horses to breed more!
